Infertility
What is infertility?
Involuntary childlessness or infertility is when the woman does not become pregnant after 12 months of regular intercourse without the use of contraception. About 10% of couples experience infertility.

What could be the cause?
Causes in men: Poor sperm quality, problems with ejaculation, obesity, stress, high alcohol intake and more.
Causes in the woman: Missing or infrequent ovulation, muscle knots (moymas), polyps, endometriosis, age and more.

What should I watch out for?
Infertility should be handled as a couple's problem in which both must take an equal part.
It is recommended with folic acid 0.4 mg daily from before conception until the 12th week of pregnancy.
You should see a doctor if you have been trying for 12 months or more to become pregnant. If you are older than 35 or you suspect a special cause, it may be wise to start the investigation earlier.
